Oregon Healthy Schools Physical Activity Training/ Pro Bowl

You and your colleagues are invited to attend and support Oregon students in achieving 60 minutes of physical activity each day! The Oregon Department of Education’s Oregon Healthy Schools is collaborating with the Oregon Dairy and Nutrition Council, and Oregon ASK, to provide you with a professional learning opportunity focused on student physical activity on June 20, 2019, at Oregon State in Corvallis.
Join with other professionals from around the state working to improve healthy eating and physical activity for children, with a focus on school settings. The day will include:
- an orientation to a new supplemental instructional material toolkit for K-5, Be Physically Active 2.0 (BEPA2.0), from Oregon State University;
- resources and information about Fuel Up to Play 60;
- networking opportunities with colleagues in health, nutrition, and education from across Oregon;
- an afternoon session including an orientation to Comprehensive School Physical Activity Programs and Safe Routes to School.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional development – there is no registration fee, lunch will be provided, and each participant will receive a BEPA 2.0 Toolkit – Registration is limited! Room reservations are limited, and must be made by May 29th, 2019.
ODE will offer six (6) Professional Development hours to those in attendance.
